Seventh Grade Participates in Service Learning Project at Matthew 25 Ministries

The seventh grade participated in a Service Learning Project which centered on Matthew 25 Ministries, an international relief organization headquartered in Blue Ash.  Students first investigated the origins and outreach efforts of this organization and completed a report about it.  Then, they spent the morning of October 24 at the Matthew 25 facilities,  folding diapers and sorting vast quantities of donated  clothing.  As part of the global education offered at the site, the students learned that each hour of service donated by a volunteer benefits 150 people.  They also discovered that their service that morning would directly assist refugees.  In the final portion of the project, students reflected on their involvement with M25M.  “It felt so good to know I had actually made a difference for someone who needed my help,” one student wrote.  “Even a small act can bring great results for someone in need.”
