I absolutely love my job and look forward to coming to work every day. I have been teaching at St Veronica School for the last eight years and love the school and staff so much that I can’t imagine ever leaving. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a teaching degree in secondary education, a class mate convinced me to pick up my elementary certificate also. While she quit after the first class, I knew that I was meant to be with the younger children! I absolutely loved the coursework and couldn’t wait to have my own classroom filled with eager and energetic children! I have taught a variety of grade levels including: second, third, fourth, and sixth grade, and have loved every one of them!
My passion is connecting with children and inspiring them to try new things. I love teaching Science and Math and using inquiry- based learning. I love helping kids who struggle realize that they are just as capable as everyone else. My main philosophy is:
“I hear and I forget;
I see and I remember;
I do and I understand”
