I am the parent of two students at St. Veronica, and am blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of the faculty as the part time librarian. I have seven years of teaching experience, having taught at Hughes Center and the Fairfield Freshman School. I am certified 7-12th grade in History and Social Studies. My alma mater is the University of Cincinnati, where I earned a Bachelor degree in History and Secondary Education and a Master degree in Secondary Education. My goal is to make the library a welcoming place to foster the love of reading. K-8th grade students attend library on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and it is a joy to see all of the different grade levels and all the qualities they offer.
I grew up in this area, attending Summerside Elementary and Glen Este Middle and High Schools. My husband Dave is an Elder High School and UC and Xavier graduate. We worked together for nine years at Sparkpeople, Inc. where I was able to work part time from home and be home with our young children. I am glad to be “back to school” now that our children are older and going to school all day. As for hobbies, (besides reading and history of course,) I love to travel and love nature. I enjoy walking with my family at the Cincinnati Nature Center close by, cheering on the UC Bearcats and my Vikings at St. Veronica.
