My name is Liz Banta, and I am one of the second grade teachers. This is my fifth year teaching at St. Veronica and my twelfth year teaching overall in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. My first seven years were spent teaching the second grade at St. Francis Seraph, a CISE school in Over-the-Rhine, and the next three teaching third grade here at St. Veronica.
I attended and received my Bachelor's degree from The College of Mount St. Joseph, and then completed my Masters in Reading through Xavier University.
My husband Neil and I have two children and three dogs. Our daughter, Kyrie, attends St. Ignatius School, and our son, Mason, is loving the toddler life. We are both avid fans of the Cincinnati Reds and enjoy cheering them on at as many games as possible. I love reading, crafts, and being active, and it's my passion to share as much of this as I can with my students. I am also the lead person for our school in regards to the Flying Pig Marathon Kids 26th mile and 5K events, both of which take place in May.
