Hello! My name is Angela Heilmann. I am blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of the St. Veronica school community as a part time social studies teacher in junior high as well as the part time librarian for preschool through 8th grade. My alma mater is the University of Cincinnati, where I earned Bachelor degrees in History and Secondary Education and my Master degree in Secondary Education. Additionally, I have my social studies certification which is designed to teach subjects such as sociology, political science, psychology and geography at the secondary level.
I grew up locally, attending Summerside Elementary and Glen Este Middle and High Schools. My previous teaching experiences were at Hughes Center near the University of Cincinnati, and at the Fairfield Freshman school. My wonderful husband Dave is an Elder High School alumnus and University of Cincinnati and Xavier graduate. We have a son and daughter who attended St. Veronica and both were lucky to be active in many programs the school has to offer in addition to the school religious and academic curriculum.
When I am not at school, I love to spend time with my family and our poodle mixes, Perry and Belle. We love being in the outdoors and hiking at the local gem, Rowe Woods. I love reading, Star Wars, and Harry Potter. My family also loves to travel, we have family in Wisconsin and Georgia we love to see when we can, and try to visit a new national park each year if possible.
