Hello! My name is Laura Peterson, and I’m excited to be the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math teacher this year! This is my 8th year teaching and my 5th year teaching in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
I grew up in northeastern Wisconsin (Go Pack!) and attended the University of Arizona where I earned a B.S. degree in hydrology. I worked for several years as a hydrogeologist in the environmental field before staying home with my three daughters. During that time, I began working part-time as a substitute teacher and eventually decided to make a career change into teaching.
While working as a hydrogeologist, one of my project sites was here in Cincinnati. I loved the city and was excited when my husband was offered an opportunity to transfer here. We moved to Amelia in 1997. My daughters have since grown up, married, and have blessed my husband and I with 6 grandchildren. I now live in the country with my husband, cats, and a mule. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, playing the piano, reading, and attempting to paint with watercolors.
